6th Grade Assignments by Track
Welcome Back A Track

A1 - Boehme/Goff: Book orders due Tuesday, January 26.  "Be a Team Player - Read" Jazz Reading Program now through February 16.  Write minutes and book daily on reading form.  Turn in each Friday.
Math: 6-2 due 1/20
Spelling: correct, correction, explore, exploration, admire, admiration, subtract, subtraction, examine, examination, separate, separation, alter, alteration, preserve, preservation, reflect, reflection, substitute, substitution
Vocabulary: stifling, ambled, intense, smolder, ornately, proclaimed, hazards, unrelenting, flared, alleviate
Social Studies: Atlas 52a-b due 1/22.
Keyboarding:  Do Edutyping to improve your technique, speed, and accuracy in typing.  This will be  graded this term with a state Keyboarding Test in January. Have 28 wpm or higher for an A.

A2 - Packard: Off Track :)
Language Arts:

Math: No assignment. 

Think Through Math (online): 40 lessons passed off by December 31, 2015.
Independent Reading: 20 min. each night. 100 min. per week.

Math: Please work on Thinkthroughmath.com while we are off track.  
Thinkthroughmath.com (online) 50 Lessons passed off by February 26th midnight.
Language Arts: "Be a Team Player - Read" Read to help our school win a Jazz Player Assembly!  The contest will end on February 16th.  All minutes must be reported to Mrs.Berven or Thomas by that day.  Fill out your tracking sheets while you are off track and bring them when you return.
Spelling:  Elk Meadows Spelling Bee is February 25th.  Please study the list of words send home today to be ready for our class Spelling Bee (week of Feb 16-19) and then a chance to participate in the Elk Meadows Spelling Bee on the 25th.
Science: No Assignment
Social Studies:  No Assignment
Poem: "Sick" by Shel Silverstein will be our next memorized poem.  You are welcome to look it up in his book "Where the Sidewalk Ends" and get started memorizing it.  A copy will be provided when we return in February.  It will be due Feb. 24th.
