Safety Patrol forms due by Wednesday, August 5! First meeting of the Patrol to be held on that day during lunch.

A - Boehme/Goff:
Math: 1-1 worksheet due 8/3.
Independent Reading:  20 minutes each night.
Spelling Words:  batch, sloppy, strict, cleanse, expand, initials, somehow, reject, rhythm, meadow, text, bluff, statue, dreadful, vanish, blunder, recover, mystery, promptly, polish.


A - Packard:

Math: #1-6: 8/4.
Memorize Poem: "The Parts of Speech." Due: 8/17. Memorize 2 lines each night.
Independent Reading: 20 min. each night.
Science: Moon Phase Chart: 8/20. Record moon phase each night.
Social Science: Zigguart (mounted and turned in) 8/4.
Spelling/Vocabulary/Grammar test: 8/7.

Science: Extra Credit. The Salt Lake Astronomical Society is hosting free public star parties this month.  Friday, August 7, at Wheeler Farm from dusk to 11 p.m. and Friday, August 21, at Harmons at 7800 S 700 E from dusk to 11 p.m.  There is also a Sun Party on Saturday, August 29 at Winchester Park at 6400 S 1100 W from 9 a.m. to noon. Attend one of these Star Parties and write a 5-7 sentence paragraph about what you learned. Due: August 31.

B - Ridge:
Math: Wkst. 1-4 due 8/3.
Read 20 minutes a night, record in your planner.
Science home lab "Mold: It is Lovely to Behold, but Not to Hold!" due on 8/13.
Remember this experiment requires at least four days of observations- don't start too late!
